SMALL SIGNALS, PERSONAL IDEAS
About website measurement.
Veronica Tries is operated by PSS Creative Media LLC. We use broad counts to understand which public pages and tools are useful.
Public website visits
When enabled, Vercel Web Analytics counts visits to our homepage, Stories, Watch pages, and Boo planner. It provides estimates of visitors, page views, countries, and referring websites. Vercel uses short-lived request-derived identifiers that expire after 24 hours, without analytics cookies. Its hosting systems process network information to provide the service. These counts are kept by Vercel, separately from your Notebook.
We strip query strings and page fragments from the page addresses sent for measurement. We exclude Studio, Notebook, sign-in, confirmation, and unsubscribe pages. We do not send email addresses, account identifiers, plan identifiers, or basket contents as analytics properties.
A rough sense of attention
When enabled, each public page visit can send one duration-band sample when first hidden, unloaded, or followed by another public page: under 10 seconds, 10–29 seconds, 30–59 seconds, or 60 seconds or more. The sample belongs to the page you were reading. Visits that start in a background tab begin timing when first visible. Timing ends with that first sample, with idle gaps capped at 60 seconds. Moving into a private page drops an unfinished sample. We do not record your keystrokes, clicks, scroll positions, or screen, and we do not send recurring heartbeats. Delivery is best effort.
Planner actions and Notebook totals
Boo keeps daily totals of broad actions and recognized campaign labels for up to 400 days, as described in Notebook privacy. Studio can also see totals of current Notebooks and saved plans. These reports contain no personal Notebook contents or reader list.
Your choices
We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for public measurement and Boo action counts. A Studio visitor may also save an opt-out preference on this browser. This preference contains no identifier and remains until removed or browser storage is cleared. It affects future counts only. Counts may be incomplete because of privacy settings, blocking, failed delivery, and provider retention limits.
